Career Activities and Highlights

 

My research interests focus on the electrochemical energy storage and conversion technology, with main focus on beyond Li-ion battery technology, including Li-O2 battery with both open and close configurations, high energy cathode materials for Li-ion battery, high energy silicon anode, solid state electrolyte, cathode design for Li-S battery, new materials for Na-ion and Na-air batteries. I have published over 570 papers including Nature, Science, Nature Energy, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Catalysis, Nature Sustainability, Nature Review Materials, Nature Communications, Chemical Reviews, etc. My work has been widely cited (Google Scholar Search, Total citations: >64, 000 times, H-index 141). I also filed over 30 US patents and patent applications, with some of these breakthroughs having great potential to be translated into commercialization towards consumer electronics market and electrical transportation.
